GENDER SPECIFICITIES IN PERCEPTIONS OF HAPPINESS ACROSS AGE GROUPS

Purpose. The article addresses the topical problem of gender – specific perceptions happiness. paper aims to study differences in notion happiness across age groups.
 Materials and Methods. involved use a questionnaire assess significance characteristics concept “happiness” with help modified Likert scale. scale included that relate following levels: physiological, socio-psychological, personality-psychological, spiritual (transcendental). empirical base consisted 300 participants: 143 men 157 women. sampling was broken into these groups: 18-24, 25-34, 35-44.
 Results. description age-specific dimension is provided. Gender similarities semantic meaning phenomenon typical respondents groups are traced. findings show at different ages both woman tend change major sources In women’s groups, regardless age, one can observe between family relationships, well-being: fact, older person, more meaningful this factor is.
